 Our first stop was my in laws house, we do cinnamon rolls for breakfast and Bug was pretty hyped up on sugar by this point.

We then drove to visit my family which included two more stops! 

I wish I would've took more pictures, but by the end of the day, I was exhausted as you can clearly tell from this picture. We had a great time with our family and that was most important.

Bugs' Summary of Month 28

Month 28: October 16th - November 16th, 2013

 

We went to visit our family and Bug made breakfast with her Great Grandma Nana.

We went a pumpkin patch and tried to take some pictures, but that's pretty difficult with a 2 year old! 

Bug got her first face painting at a Halloween party!

Happy 4th Anniversary

In my post last year, I said " I take you for better or for worse, even if the better comes after the worse." And I meant it 110%. Marriage isn't a game or a joke, it's a commitment you make to your spouse for the rest of your life no matter what.

At getting married at age 18, I was determined that my first marriage would be my only marriage. After being married for 4 years now, I would have to say prayer has changed my marriage dramatically. It's changed him and me.

No trial is so large we can't overcome together.

Matt, it's really hard for me to believe that we've been married for 4 years now. While we've had our rough times, we've came out even stronger than before and I believe God gave me you knowing I would love you beyond reason. Thank you for working so hard to provide for Bug and I and thank you for accepting my faults as I do yours. I'm truly looking forward to our future and what life as in store for us. This song is for you, my love.

Bugs' Summary of Month 27

Month 27: September 16th - October 16th, 2013

Words: She has started singing along to her favorite songs, when you show her a picture, she says "Aw!" and has started saying "Oh my gosh!" So cute!
 

Obsessions: The movie The Cat in the Hat is now her favorite, Monsters Inc has now been collecting dust.

I opened the fridge and noticed empty containers, she is now always in it!

Autumn Cheesecake Dip

Friday night, we had some friends over and I had no idea what to make as a snack. I was thinking something sweet, but then something healthy. I came across this dip and it was perfect! It makes a lot and tastes great. We dipped apples and strawberries, but I did dip my finger in there a few times because it was just that good!

Ingredients:

• 8 oz cream cheese, softened at room temperature
• 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed
• 1 cup packed brown sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
• your dipping choice 

Instructions:

• Blend cream cheese, Cool Whip, and brown sugar in a mixer on medium speed anywhere between 5-10 minutes, or until smooth. Add vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and mix again. It's preferred that you refrigerate overnight, but at least one hour will do. Enjoy!

Bugs' Summary of Month 26

Month 26: August 16th - September 16th, 2013

Growth: She is now in a size 8 shoe!

Words: Bug can now sing her ABC's, if you sing with her, she will sing the whole thing! When ever someone sneezes, she says "Bless you" so adorable!

Special moment: Matt and I sneaked up on her one day to find her reading books to her baby dolls and telling them "Go night night" 

 Obsessions: Monster's Inc, she loves to watch this movie and would watch it all day if I let her!

Wordless Wednesday

It won't be like this for long

After work, I picked up Bug and we went to our favorite place, Target. Mommy shops while she gets a kids cookie, but she wasn't in the greatest mood. It was a long exhausting day for her, she played hard that day with a short nap.

As we're standing in line, Bug starts crying, arching her back, and yelling. I feel my face get red as the man in front of me looks at me and smiles. I can't help but think what these people may be thinking of me. Do they think I'm a bad mom? Do they think I can't control my child? Do they think she is a brat? We stood there in line for what seemed like 15 minutes. 

After checking out, we walk towards the car, barely pushing the cart because I'm trying to hold Bug and calm her down, I strap her into her car seat while she cries and yells. I shut the door and take a deep breath, trying to enjoy the silence before the drive home.

I get in the car and start to drive off, she continues to cry and then I hear silence. I look back and she says "Hold my hand mommy" and it made me realize this is a phase and it won't be like this for long. The tantrums, the crying, the always wanting mommy, the rub my leg before I go to bed and the pull over on the side of the road to see the cows. 

I've never fully embraced tantrums until now, I realize she isn't giving me a hard time, she's having a hard time and this too will fly by. 

I'll do anything for you, even if that means holding your hand the entire drive home while my arm falls asleep.

Weekend Reflection

I love having every weekend off now, I can actually do fun things with Bug. This weekend, we went to an Ice Cream Festival. There was unlimited ice cream, ice cream samples and lots of giveaways. I like love ice cream, so even though I was drenched in sweat, it was pretty tasty and I think Bug would agree.

We first started off with some Blue Bell.

Then we had a sample from a local vendor.

Her favorite, ice cream cone! The girl loves cones and no, she did not eat much before I threw it away. We didn't want to leave with tummy aches!

Bugs' Summary of Month 25

Month 25: July 16th - August 16th, 2013

Growth: She is in 3T clothes and size 7 shoes! Such a tall growing girl.

Words: I'm so proud of Bug, she has started using please and thank you, when we pass by Starbucks, she says "Mommy's coffee!" (she knows me well) I'm not sure where she got this from, but she has started asking for a sister! Lol
 

Special moment: July 25,2013 she randomly said "I love you mommy" and it was so clearly said! She now says it all the time, melts my heart.

Obsession: She loves band aids! She also likes to help me with laundry, I hope it stays that way! ; )
