Week Reflections

We had a get together at our house last weekend, carving pumpkins and eating! Sounds like fun to me! Last year, Bug was a little baby, so Halloween wasn't as fun. But she had so much fun playing with the seeds and that nasty slime! Look at how excited she was once daddy brought the Pumpkins inside..

Let me say that playing with the seeds is a great sensory idea for kids! Even though it can get messy, the smell and texture is great for their senses. She would throw all the seeds out and put them all back in.

They ended up everywhere! On her toes, bottom, around the house and in her crib, but she had fun, so it was all worth it.

A few days later, I made some awesome homemade Pumpkin Pancakes! I love the smell of Pumpkin anything.

Ingredients:
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
2 eggs
1 cup milk
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
 1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup of pumpkin puree

Mix all ingredients together and cook on low heat. You can also put some whipped cream on top!

Then we tried to paint Bugs' hand on her Pumpkin. Have you ever tried this with a 16 month old who can not sit still? Yeah, well so much for hand prints..

Finally! It's Halloween! We had a great time and here is my beautiful Minnie Mouse getting into my make-up bag!

And would you look at that face! She always gives that face when she is very curious about something. I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween!
